After agriculture, the building materials industry is the second largest employer in the Africa. Not only does the sector employs a large number of people, but also contributes significantly to the Africa’s economy in terms of infrastructural upgrades and the evolution from urban houses to smart cities. This projection already accounts for 16.1% of Africa’s GDP and is valued at approximately $250 billion in 2018 and industry reports forecast building materials to record a CAGR of 19.8% from the Dangote index to reach USD$620.5 billion by 2028.

Some of Africa Government’s landmark projects like Rwanda, Morocco, Egypt and Tanzania Smart City Project, Affordable Housing Project – and strategic logistic infrastructure investment, such as quality airport development Project would push the growth of the sector in big way on the continent transformative trajectory.
